Job Summary:

A mover and packer who works for Golden Services LLC must responsibly pack and unpack and load and unload household goods into proper containers and crates, while complying with company and military standards. This position also requires the completion of DOD paperwork and commercial paperwork.

This position reports to the operations manager.

Wage: $17 to $20 DOE

(Negotiable for industry experience) (Increase for extra certifications obtained)

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

Prepare, stack, and pile goods for transport and shipment of household goods
Pack and unpack shipments (Military, National Accounts, COD, GSA) according to company regulations
Make sure containers and crates are prepared, marked, and damage-free
Track inventory, provide accurate and detailed documentation
Load and unload household items and secure them with security seals
Measure and weigh items according to regulation
Organize trucks and supplies
Some driving may be required with a valid license
Maintain customer relationships

Physical Demands

Must lift up to 60 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Must engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of household items
Must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

High school diploma or equivalent, driver’s license/CDL, effective communication skills, friendly and outgoing personality, organizational skills, and ability to respond to requests effectively and efficiently
Communicate politely and positively with all customers via phone, face-to-face, or email correspondence
Maintain production pace and utilize equipment used to perform duties
Qualified applicants must pass a background check
Required to wear company uniform
